Diversity Council Spotlight - Alesia Hendley
Alesia Hendley Strides with Pride for the AVIXA Diversity council!
Beginning her AV journey in House of Worship (HoW) from Front of House audio to media team management, Alesia eventually consulted for various churches. After HoW, she ventured to studio recording and then became a technical operator in one of Houston's largest live events facilities.
She started the Texas SoundGirl’s chapters in 2018 and collaborated with Allen & Heath to lead regional training. Along the way, she co-chaired the Houston AVIXA Women's Council chapter and has been a part of AVIXA’s Content & Learning Committee.
As part of Commercial Integrators 40 Under 40 & SCN's The Nine, Alesia continues to impact AV through international media presentations and article contributions to multiple AV magazines.
I am sure Access Networks would agree she thrives today as a sales engineer with an effervescent smile & adventurous spirit!
Charmaine Torruella is the Global Services Manager at Verrex, and Chairperson for the AVIXA Diversity Council. Charmaine’s 18-year career in both IT and AV, along with her Jamaican and Cuban heritage and achievements as a single working mother, put her in the unique position to galvanize and champion the AVIXA’s diversity initiatives.
