Virtual (Homecoming) Remote Broadcasting During the Pandemic

Join us for an in-depth view of the products, layout, production, equipment, pros, cons, and lessons learned during Prairie View A&M University's six-day virtual homecoming celebration. We will dive into our reimagined use of 4K PTZ cameras, coupled with video switching software, to achieve a remote virtual broadcast. You'll also hear how we utilized unconventional audio sources to produce quality sound, all while directed by a one-(wo)man production team. In addition to sharing lessons learned along the way, we will also discuss new applications for expanding our production experiences across campus events...and beyond.

How Strategy Defines Workplace Conent Design and Implementation

 Emily and Rachel are collaborators defining a holistic workplace experience. Together, our complementary skillsets help us bridge the digital communications and physical manifestation of workplace innovation. Our goal is to create office spaces people want to go to every day. In this session, we will offer an overview of the process that shapes our experiential projects and detailed techniques and technologies we employ.
This talk will begin with a discussion about strategy, and how this shapes content design. We will continue to discuss the integration of the design disciplines (content, visual, physical, interactive) and pressure-test the design against the strategic vision. We will finish up by discussing technology implementation and what factors we consider when determining which technology (hardware and software) to select. The presentation will be supported by case studies of a national real estate firm and law firm as well as photos and videos from recently completed projects.

Content Creation with Generative Media and Gaming Engines

Generative media is disrupting the traditional ways of creating content and changing the ways we work. Gaming engines are at the forefront of creating these tools. The ways of creating traditional media and content have changed and a new medium is here. This session will use case studies from virtual events created in 2020 during the pandemic along with showing examples of content created from these various real time generative engines.

In this exploratory session, we will look at how gaming engines have changed the way we create experiences, how we engage and what types of generative tools are available, along with their pros and cons. This session will change the way you view content and interact with media. Explore new ways and workflows that are replacing the traditional ways of content creation.
